Surface preparation
Review corrosion, retained coating, welds and edges. Surface profile, soluble contamination and dust affect adhesion; cleaning and preparation need to suit both the steel and the chosen product.
Application guidance
Check steel temperature, dew-point margin and humidity before coating. Follow the product’s mixing ratio, induction time, pot life and overcoating intervals throughout application.
Coating inspection
Inspect difficult details and stripe coats, check film thickness and record defects that need attention. Agree inspection points before work starts, including the conditions for immersion or loading.
Crew and yard training
Practical training covers cleaning, power-tool preparation, two-component mixing, application and repair. Sessions can focus on the products and maintenance tasks the team actually handles.
